Attorney Peter “PT” Alford Jr. represents the next generation of The Alford Law Group. Following in the footsteps of his father, PT brings a fresh perspective, modern strategies, and the same deep commitment to family, community, and justice that has long defined the Alford name in LaGrange.
A Legacy Continued
Born and raised in LaGrange, PT grew up watching his father dedicate long hours to helping clients while still making time for family, sports, and community. Those lessons left a lasting impression. Though he once joked he didn’t want to be a lawyer, PT ultimately chose to embrace the family tradition — and today, he stands proudly alongside his father as a partner in the practice.
PT earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from LaGrange College before attending Mercer University School of Law, graduating in May 2023. At his graduation, Peter Sr. had the honor of placing the doctoral hood on his son — a full-circle moment that reflected both family pride and professional achievement. In addition, PT was featured in LaGrange News 20 Under 40 magazine's July 31 edition and earned the LaGrange Daily News Best Attorney award for 2024.

Family & Community Roots
PT and his wife, Alyssa, live in LaGrange, where they are building their life together while investing back into the community that shaped them. Alyssa teaches at Franklin Forest Elementary School, and together, they represent the next chapter of the Alford family’s dedication to LaGrange.
For PT, practicing law alongside his father is more than a career — it’s a dream fulfilled. As Peter Sr. often says, “Every father dreams of having his son follow in his footsteps.” Today, PT is honored to live out that dream, continuing a legacy of service while forging his own path as an advocate, counselor, and trusted member of the LaGrange community.
